This historical crossing could not be made without the help of a number of key sponsors. It is their belief in this cause and their charity that has allowed this project to move forward. Please visit their websites through the below links to see the great products and services that they offer.

SKUK have lent us the Kayaks for the crossing. SKUK Explorers, designed by Nigel Dennis are world renowned rough water expedition kayaks, and will be perfectly suited to the rough conditions we are likely to encounter. We are hugely grateful for the backing of SKUK and Nigel Dennis.

Kari-Tek have helped us out so much with transport of our kayaks. We have been training in the rough Irish Sea, and the fantastic Kari-Tek easy loading system means that we can transport three kayaks per car. They are so easy to load, and the rack has been such a huge help. If you need to transport large items on your car, this really is the way forward.

Neville Stein of Ovation Business Consultants is a keen supporter of this project. Kiehl's have been great in forward thinking about things that had passed us by. Their fantastic range of skin care products have been extremely useful to us in traning, and will be great on the crossing. Their range of SPF products are water and sweat proof- perfect for the long August Days on the water. Kiehls are also helping us with our charity fund raising by opening the Monmouth Street store late for us to hold a Launch. We hope to see you all there on August 18th.

Quooker is a company originally set up by Henri Peteri an original Engelandvaarder. Now run by his son Niels together with his brother Walter, they have come to the rescue and given an incredibly generous donation to facilitate this expedition. We are incredibly grateful for this, and very much look forward to meeting Niels. We also highly recommend the boiling - water tap!

Lendal have lent us some fantastic new Carbon Fibre paddles, perfect for long distances. The paddles are light and responsive- exactly what is required for this crossing. Check out the website to see the great range of equipment avaliable.

Standard Horizon is a world-class manufacturer of high quality marine chartplotters, fixed and handheld VHF radios. They are kindly supplying the Engelandvaarder Team with the vital communications equipment required for the crossing. The kayaks will be equipped with HX851Es handheld VHF radios. These are waterproof, float, have emergency strobe light and GPS- a wonderful tool for an expedition such as this.
